जिंदगी ने कर लिया स्वीकार,

अब तो पथ यही है

अब उभरते ज्वार का आवेग मद्धिम हो चला है,

एक हलका सा धुंधलका था कहीं, कम हो चला है,

यह शिला पिघले न पिघले, रास्ता नम हो चला है,

क्यों करूँ आकाश की मनुहार ,

अब तो पथ यही है |

क्या भरोसा, कांच का घट है, किसी दिन फूट जाए,

एक मामूली कहानी है, अधूरी छूट जाए,

एक समझौता हुआ था रौशनी से, टूट जाए,

आज हर नक्षत्र है अनुदार,

अब तो पथ यही है|

यह लड़ाई, जो की अपने आप से मैंने लड़ी है,

यह घुटन, यह यातना, केवल किताबों में पढ़ी है,

यह पहाड़ी पाँव क्या चढ़ते, इरादों ने चढ़ी है,

कल दरीचे ही बनेंगे द्वार,

अब तो पथ यही है |

Life has accepted it

This will be my path now

The ferocity of rising tide has faded away,

The fog which was there somewhere is no more,

This stone may melt or may not, but at least its softened,
Why should I beg from the skies,

This must be my path now

This vase made of glass is but fragile,
leaving the ordinary story untold
the bond I had with light looks bleak
and the stars seem so small
But , this will be my path now

The fight, which I have fought with myself,
It’s suffocation, it’s pain, is heard in books only,
I have made the climb not with my feet

but with my conviction,
And these windows are poised to be my doors soon,

जाने किस—किसका ख़्याल आया है

इस समंदर में उबाल आया है

एक बच्चा था हवा का झोंका

साफ़ पानी को खंगाल आया है

कल तो निकला था बहुत सज—धज के

आज लौटा तो निढाल आया है

हमने सोचा था जवाब आएगा

एक बेहूदा सवाल आया है

मेरे गीत तुम्हारे पास सहारा पाने आएँगे

मेरे बाद तुम्हें ये मेरी याद दिलाने आएँगे

हौले—हौले पाँव हिलाओ,जल सोया है छेड़ो मत

हम सब अपने—अपने दीपक यहीं सिराने आएँगे

थोड़ी आँच बची रहने दो, थोड़ा धुआँ निकलने दो

कल देखोगी कई मुसाफ़िर इसी बहाने आएँगे

रह—रह आँखों में चुभती है पथ की निर्जन दोपहरी

आगे और बढ़ें तो शायद दृश्य सुहाने आएँगे

मेले में भटके होते तो कोई घर पहुँचा जाता

हम घर में भटके हैं कैसे ठौर-ठिकाने आएँगे

Very Emotional lines from Dushyant Kumar !What I like is the sensible and earthy approach of these lines.Where as a typical Aashirwaad will read like Tum jiyo Hazaaron Saal,Saal ke di hon Pachaas Hazzar,this one acknowledges that life is not at all a bed of roses but still it can be quite an exciting and challenging journey.

If I had not burnt my fingers, I would never have known the thrill of chasing the rainbow.I wish that both my children follow their dreams and not live a  life sans the adventure as many others do.

That is a true Aaashirwaad.
